Tens of thousands of devotees in Vijayawada witnessed the ushering of the year 2008 in the Holy presence of Pujya Sri Swamiji.Sri Swamiji arrived here on 30th December 2007 evening. Immediately upon arrival, Sri Swamiji addressed the Kriya Yoga students and addressed them with a candid speech on Kriya Yoga.
In the evening, Sri Swamiji was given a welcome program. Dr. Shyamalamba Prasad, poet, gave welcome speech. Sri Swamiji gave a benedictory address.
On 31st, Sri Swamiji performed Abhisheka to Kshipra Ganapati and the annual event of PRADHANA ANAGHASHTAMI VRATA was performed by hundreds of devotees.
On 1st January 2008, Sri Swamiji gave Darshan to tens of thousands of devotees. Sri Swamiji sat in his specially decorated chair from 6 AM until 3 PM. Two streams of people came from either sides of the stage and touched Datta Guru Padukas, took Darshan of Sri Swamiji and left. They were given sweet Ladoo as Prasadam.
In the evening, Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja and gave the new year Benedictory speech and sang scintillating Bhajans.
